Nag

The to-do app that chases you.

For people who write things down and never look at the list again. Type it once, pick who does the chasing, and they keep at it until it’s done.

01Say what it is.

Type it the way you’d say it out loud. No title, no notes, no project to file it under.

In Nag a task is one sentence: Remind me to call the dentist by tomorrow. Kevin will nag me every 2 hours. You choose the deadline, which character reminds you, whether they nag or hound, and how often, from once a day to every 5 minutes. Then you hand it over and close the app, and the reminders keep arriving until the task is done.

Every to-do app has the same flaw. You have to open it.

Nag has no list to keep up with. You hand the task to someone and close the app. From then on it’s their job to bring it up, on your lock screen, until you’ve done the thing.

On the Mac, it won’t even be a window.

Nag will live in the menu bar. Press ⌥ Space in any app, type the sentence, hit return. You never leave what you were doing.

On iPhone, it opens to the sentence.

There’s no inbox, no projects, no tabs to get lost in. The keyboard is already up when the app appears.

Pay once. Keep the whole cast.

Start free with three tasks on the go. When that stops being enough, unlock everything once and keep it.

Fair questions.

It was built for the ADHD loop of writing something down and never looking at it again. If that loop sounds familiar, diagnosis or not, it works the same.

No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Your tasks are stored on your device and the reminders are scheduled there too. The app sends anonymous usage counts so we can tell what’s working, never what your tasks say. The privacy policy has the details.

Not for Nag. You pay $3.99 once, the launch price before it goes up to $6.99 in a few weeks, and keep it, new characters included. Nag Plus will be an optional subscription, because the AI that writes each message costs us every time it runs. To write them it will send the task’s text to our server, only if you turn it on, and it will warn you a few days before it renews.

They keep going at whatever pace you set, and they don’t repeat the same line twice in a row. Ticking the task off is the only way to end it.

Mean. It swears and it gets personal, which is why this page only quotes the polite ones. It’s off until you switch it on for a task.

An iPhone on iOS 18 or later. The Mac app is on the way, and if you’ve unlocked Nag on your iPhone, it’ll be unlocked on the Mac too.
